Axmouth Adopts a Phone Box....

Axmouth Phone BoxAxmouth Parish Council has just announced the adoption of a former BT Telephone Box.

Crescy and Keith claim to have interviewed the phone box (must have been a late night in the village, after some of the local brew?). When asked about its future plans, the box is reported to have responded...

"Hullo!

I know I’m looking a bit forlorn at the moment but I am aiming higher.

Did you know that you, Axmouth residents, have just adopted me? Yes, I’m one of you now.

I don’t have a phone any more, but don’t write me off please. I’ve got some ideas for my new future – and perhaps you can think of some too.

I could be a book swap

A plant swap

A noticeboard

A place for local information.

And I’ll need some help in improving my appearance. If you’d like to become a Friend of the Phone Box or have ideas about how to use me, let one of the parish councillors know (see their names on the website and noticeboards) or call 24061 (Crescy) or 24750 (Keith).

Goodbye"

Very worrying.....

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
